Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the Lowpan Camera cloud storage service at camera.lowpan.com (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Lowpan Camera provides cloud storage for video clips, live streams, and snapshots captured by Lowpan-compatible smart home cameras. The Service is provided on a subscription basis with plans offering different storage capacities and retention periods.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction) to use the Service. By using the Service you represent that you meet this requirement.

4. Account Registration

You must create an account to use the Service. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for all activities under your account. Notify us immediately at support@lowpan.com if you suspect unauthorized access.

5. Subscriptions & Payment

The Service is offered under paid subscription plans. Payments are processed by Paddle (paddle.com), who acts as our Merchant of Record. This means Paddle is the legal seller of our subscriptions, issues invoices, collects and remits applicable taxes (VAT/GST/sales tax), and is responsible for all payment processing and billing disputes. By subscribing you also agree to Paddle's Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.

  • Subscriptions are billed annually in advance unless otherwise stated.
  • Prices are displayed in USD or INR depending on your region at checkout.
  • Taxes are calculated and collected by Paddle based on your billing location.
  • You may cancel at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
  • We reserve the right to change prices with at least 30 days' notice.

6. Storage & Data

Your storage quota is determined by your active plan. Clips older than your plan's retention limit are automatically deleted. We do not guarantee recovery of deleted clips. You are solely responsible for maintaining any local backup of your footage.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to:

  • Upload, store, or transmit illegal content or content that violates third-party rights
  • Conduct surveillance of individuals without their knowledge or consent
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service or its infrastructure
  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble any component of the Service
  • Resell or sublicense access to the Service without written permission
  • Use the Service in any way that violates applicable local, national, or international law

Violation of this section may result in immediate account termination without refund.

8. Intellectual Property

You retain ownership of all content you upload. You grant Lowpan a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide license to store, reproduce, and transmit your content solely as necessary to provide the Service.

The Service, including its software, branding, and design, is owned by Lowpan and protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

9. Service Availability

We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may perform maintenance (with advance notice where practicable) and are not liable for downtime caused by factors outside our reasonable control.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. Lowpan does not warrant that the Service will be error-free or that stored data will never be lost.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Lowpan and its affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the Service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

12. Termination

Either party may terminate these Terms at any time. On termination we will delete your data in accordance with our Privacy Policy. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will do so.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Delaware.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
